EXECUTIVE REPORT
Health Care in Motion
n the past two years, our provider community has flexed and stretched
to continue providing excellent quality of care to Alliance members in the
midst of Medi-Cal program changes, state budget cuts, and new regulations
and accessibility standards, just to name a few of our shared challenges and
opportunities.
The Alliance has also flexed and stretched, implementing new ways to
incent positive outcomes for our members through our Care Based Incentive (CBI)
program, implementing a care management program as well as other innovations to
ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
More change is on the way. 2013 brings:
●●
The transition of Healthy Families enrollees to the Alliance’s Medi-Cal program.
●●
The shift of Alliance Medi-Cal payments for primary care physicians (PCPs) from
capitation to Medicare fee-for-service payment under new
Affordable Care Act (ACA) rules.
●●
The Alliance’s switch to MedImpact for pharmacy benefit
management.
You might also notice a new look and feel to our
Provider
Bulletin
,
and you’ll be hearing more about new ways that you
can access the
Bulletin
in 2013.
We can expect the coming years to present equally
dynamic and compelling challenges and opportunities. We
look forward to continuing our partnership with you to navigate these opportunities,
while continuing to ensure member access and positive medical outcomes.
Your satisfaction with the Alliance’s services, as we face these challenges together,
is key to our mutual success.
