Starting in January 2027, some adults may have new work rules. As of March 1, 2027, some may also need to complete a check-in every six months to keep their coverage. Starting in July 2027, some adults may also have a monthly premium. The most important step you can take now is to renew your Medi-Cal on time. This helps you keep your coverage and avoid gaps in care. Three steps to stay covered 1 If you have moved, update your contact information. Make sure your county Medi-Cal office has your correct address and phone number. 2 Know your renewal date, and watch your mail. You should get a renewal letter with the steps you may need to take. 3 If you need to complete paperwork, return it right away. Send your renewal forms by the deadline listed to keep your coverage.
